5. Connaught Place
Connaught Place sits right in the heart/center of Delhi. Build by the British in 1917, with the idea of making it the central hub and it now serves as the main financial and commercial center for Delhi. All the buildings in Connaught Place are built in old Georgian styles in a ring with a central park in the center. Connaught Place is now viewed as a big European-styled flea market that offers everything from the cheapest to the most expensive. The food and nightlife at Connaught Place are amazing. The must-visit attractions in Connaught Place are the Janpath Market and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib (nighttime is the best time to visit).
4. Qutub Minar
The oldest masterpiece of Muslim architecture in India, built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in honor of Qutubddin Bakhtiar Kaki. This 73m tall tower is a UNESCO world heritage site, is marked as the first victory memorial for Islam in India. The first three stories are made of red sandstone, the fourth and the fifth stories are made of marble and sandstone. Qutub Minar is in the center of the Qutb Complex with several other historically significant structures such as Quwwat ul Islam (the first mosque in India).

India Gate is a perfect place to enjoy with family, it is open 24*7 and it is best enjoyed at night time. India Gate is located really close to some other tourist attractions such as Rashtrapati Bhawan (former Viceroy’s House), Rajpath, and the National Gallery of Modern Art.

“Akshardham” also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham is dedicated to Bhagwan Swaminarayan, constructed in 2005 near the Noida or region. This Hindu temple is a masterpiece, the temple consists of 234 beautifully carved pillars, 9 elaborate domes, and 20000 sculptures of spiritual heads of India. This modern marvel also hosts its own cultural boat ride and trust us it is very fun, they also show a small documentary on the life of Bhagwan Swaminarayan. The major attraction of this Temple is its musical fountain show. The temple also has its own food court and stores. This UNESCO world heritage site is an architectural masterpiece situated at the bank of river Yamuna it is a blend of both the Indian and Persian forms of architecture. The Red Fort comprises several historical buildings like Diwan-i-Aam, Diwan-i-Khas, and the Moti Masjid, the Red Fort also organizes a light and sound show in the evening. The Red Fort is very famous for its historic market, it is also very close to some of the other tourist attractions such as Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid.
